Gabrielle Parnes moved to Paris in June 2001, to pursue her passion for writing and a love affair with the city that began during her junior year in France.  She worked as an English teaching assistant in a public school south of Paris, contributed regularly to Paris Voice magazine and ran a weekly writers´ circle.  In the sixteen entries in this Paris Journal, she chronicled her experience as an American abroad, hoping that this collection of memories will one day serve as the basis for a book.
